we focus on language inclusivity
Access to therapy in your native language creates a more free, authentic, and accessible healing experience for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. At Hot Rocks Psychotherapy Group, we understand that accessibility is not simply about communication accommodations — it is about recognizing the lived experience of navigating a world that often limits access, autonomy, connection, and belonging. Our ASL services are grounded in a culturally responsive, intersectional understanding of Deaf identity and Deaf culture, informed by approaches rooted in the values of Deaf-centered care and relational accessibility.
We recognize that Deaf and Hard of Hearing experiences are not one-dimensional and are shaped by the intersections of language, culture, disability, race, gender identity, neurodivergence, trauma, family systems, and systemic barriers. Therapy should not require constant translation, self-advocacy, or the emotional labor of bridging communication gaps. We strive to provide a space where Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients can fully express themselves in the language and cultural context that feels most natural to them.
